I really enjoyed this tale of WWII and navy in theNorth Atlantic - well the first half is up near the Denmark Straights.

Reeman is an excellent story teller and created evocative word pictures of the rough weather and the relations between RN , wavy navy, merchant navy and hostilities only sailors, only the obligatory happy ending seemed a little dated.

basically how Will Smith saves the world googled

I failed to get involved with the plot or the characters
but greatly enjoyed the film as a wonderful gallery of computer graphics.

I read the book many years ago and took ASIMOV to my heart
and I really hesitated about seeing the filmatisation.

The Imperial biograf in Copenhagen is a local flag ship and one of the first three to have installed digital projection in Denmark.

So when I heard that on the local radio news I decided to risk a visit.

And it was great -the sound system was so clean - although the music was vanilla after nearly 20 minutes of adverts and trailers in old tech., the new audio-visual experience was simply the greatest.

As good as a home DVD played off the hard disk

Son when I get back to UK I will be rereading Asimov because I had quite forgotten the plot !
