I woke up and switched on the radio and there was Candide and then I was really impressed by the sound of the two orchestras.
They had put the enormous ensemble on the floor of the Ulster Hall and the audience in the balconies and on the stage.
Many years ago I used to coach the woodwinds of this youth orchestra on Saturday mornings and I was filled with pride to hear them on the radio.
