I woke up and switched on the radio and there was Candide and then I was really impressed by the sound of the two orchestras.

They had put the enormous ensemble on the floor of the Ulster Hall and the audience in the balconies and on the stage.

Many years ago I used to coach the woodwinds of this youth orchestra on Saturday mornings and I was filled with pride to hear them on the radio.

Pete Waterman Ltd - Official Website - Autobiography: "It is hard to realise that a DJ working in the Midlands could have such an impact but key major record company promo staff often came to his gigs to see him plugging their records. The first Bay City Rollers tour, hosted by Pete in all the Mecca clubs was based on a lot of Pete's ideas on how to wind up crowds, a technique that Pete would bring to perfection in the 80's."

And on X factor all the judges did that to the contestants.

Louis Walsh in The X Factor

I really enjoyed that this evening and he made a good contrast to Simon Cowell: "who was outspoken when asked about his fellow X Factor judges Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
He said: "Sharon's like one of those fish at the bottom of the ocean who don't do anything till you swim near them and then they bite you from nowhere. "

It is seldom that I watch a whole eving of ITV but I was tired after shopping and I stuck it out from the hidden camera show New You've been framed until film time 1130 pmAnother 48 Hours when I started zapping and going to bed.

Ant and Dec were new to me - OK and funny - but too loud I feel duty bound to study common culture which is a hang over from my light music conducting days - brass band too.

Irish News - Irish Independent Online - Sunday Independent , Irish newspapers, News Ireland: "Here is a guy who's shown incredible acumen in the pop industry, which is basically a PR business." and he impressed me too.

Sharon Osbourne showed rare acumen but her page on MTV.com - Home died in a sea of blocked pop ups and ad / spy ware so browse via Google image Search: Sharon Osbourne or Google image Search: "Simon Cowell"
